Autumnwatch
Its great to see Autumnwatch on again and delighted that this year its been based around Brownsea, a place that my Wife and I have visited fairly recently and loved a great deal. It’s also fantastic that Simon King is down at Petworth - another favourite place of ours! So we shall be following this series very closely indeed.
It’s also quite bizarre as I am currently in Dorset! I bet that Brownsea is closed to the public right now or maybe I am wrong, would anyone know whether it is or not? I hope the Avocets do return to the lagoon there, as they are very elegant birds to watch and to see a large group of them is an even better treat. I am used to seeing them in smaller groups down at Titchfield Haven for example.
Tune into BBC2 at 8pm every night for the next two weeks, I know I shall be.
