South West Thames Kidney Fund
I have joined the SWTKF and now a fully paid up member. I intend to take part in the various events organised by the charity and also to help raise funds and awareness of kidney research. I have a number of ideas on my mind but don’t wish to reveal any of them just yet.
The SWTKF is chaired by Dr. Michael Bending, whom I have got to know recently through my own course of treatment at St Helier Hospital and the Patron is Lord Rogers of Riverside. The organisation is based at St Helier and is actively involved in the research into renal treatment and patient care.
I have already made a small token donation, nothing much but hopefully in the future through some good networking and other projects, I will be able to play an active part, rather than being just a passive member sitting in the background.
